CONGRATulations Runners!
We a great race on a chilly morning in Oronoco. Thanks to everyone who participated. We had a fun morning cheering on the runners and ruck sackers! 8 MILE RUN & RUCK SACK RUN
This is the inaugural veterans memorial run. The run is an 8 mile loop running trough the small community of Oronoco, Mn. (just n of Rochester). The run starts and finishes at Oronoco's City Hall.
An awards ceremony will directly follow the day's event. Every participant will receive a veterans memorial run t-shirt and refreshments.
DIVISIONS
Age Groups: Under 20, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70+
Awards for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd for Men & Women in each age group.
Ruck Sack Division: Here is your chance to see just what you are made of. Military Infantrymen carry everything they need to perform their mission in a Ruck Sack. The Ruck Sack Division is for anyone! You will be required to carry a 35 pound ruck sack or back pack for the entire length of the 8 mile course. You may run, shuffle, walk or crawl, but you must always have your pack on your back during the run. So, give it a shot everyone! It is tough, but it is rewarding to push yourself beyond your limits.
